Hi, I have recently started as a freelance business consultant for small charities. Does anyone know an easy way to assess organisational culture? I have found some complicated forms and expensive questionnaires, which as a new freelancer I cannot afford.

Hi Clemy, congrats on going freelance! How are you finding the journey so far?
Culture Amp is a great product in the organisational culture space: https://www.cultureamp.com/
They also have some fantastic resources as well: https://www.cultureamp.com/resources/
If Culture Amp is a little out of your / your client’s budget, take a look at these options:
– Peakon: https://peakon.com/
– Lattice: https://lattice.com/
– Glint: https://www.glintinc.com/

You could also try using a simple form builder like Google Forms, Typeform or Survey Monkey?

I love Google Re:Work site for questions like this! They have a guide on running an employee survey, which has a 10-step guide to follow too: https://rework.withgoogle.com/guides/analytics-run-an-employee-survey/steps/introduction/

Wow! Thanks everyone for these great suggestions. I’m thrilled to have joined this group. I’ve found freelancing for the first time a bit daunting, but I’m getting into it now and starting to enjoy the fruits of my hard labour! Still scary at times but I’m growing in confidence. And now all the better for having found this forum.
